Closing your workbook instructs Excel to dump it from RAM.

Closing A Workbook

Click File, Close

If you have made changes since your last save, Excel asks if you want to save the new changes.

Click Yes

Excel will save your changes and close your workbook.

If you have not made changes to your workbook since your last save, Excel will simply close your document.
